TRUNK PROGRAM

We have a variety of programs aimed to educate and entertain your students. Listed below are just a few of the programs we offer. We can also customize a program for your school.

An industrious group of Native Americans known as the Kansas City Hopewell contributed to our life over 2500 years ago. This trunk, with lots of hands-on material, will teach students about the culture of Native Americans before Columbus. This trunk is age appropriate for 5 years old to adults.

The Terrible Lizard trunk teaches students about the days the dinosaurs ruled the earth. The Terrible Lizard trunk begins with storytelling and ends with a dance. Between comes lots of exciting hands-on material, like a Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth, that children can touch. This trunk is age appropriate for 3 to 7 year olds.

Ancient Egypt relates the story of the pyramids, pharaohs, mummification and the ordinary life of the typical Egyptian during the rule of the great kings. This trunk is age appropriate for all.

Grandma's Attic is a delightful trunk filled with the days of a young schoolgirl from the early 1900s. The story is told through the life of Ruth, a little girl that grew up around Wyandotte County. This trunk is age appropriate for 4 to 12 year olds.

Lifeskills of the 1800s experiences hands-on learning stations of various daily activities from the 1800s! Rolling out dough, making butter, scrubbing clothes on the washboard, making rope and "shaving" will have children of all ages participating in this fun and educational program.
